We are a boutique online bookstore on a mission to bring you a diverse range of books from across the African Diaspora. We offer an ever increasing collection and a commitment to enhancing your online book buying experience.
We are passionate about books and reading, but we felt that something was missing from the online bookstore environment. So, we decided to create a new kind of online bookshop experience – taking the best elements of the physical experience and the best bits of the digital experience:
Bookshop Staff: Sometimes you want a little help when you’re in a book store. At Books Africana, we are here, not just to sell you books, but to help you figure out what to read next. During our opening hours, you can reach out can reach to us on Twitter and have a conversation about your reading needs.
Book Clubs: We are collaborating with our sister company The Jeli, to run a series of pop-up book clubs throughout 2017. Keep an eye out for the upcoming dates and discounts on the book club books.
A Wide Selection: An online bookshop does not have the space limitations of a physical store. Our collection is ever growing, and as big as the African Diaspora is, we are always discovering new titles to add to the collection.
Recommendations: One of the things we love about the online environments is our ability to remember your buying history. As a Books Africana customer, we will make sure that we offer you tailored recommendations – making sure that you are the first to know when Daniel Jose Older drops a new novella or when you can get your hands on new Adichie.
We’ll let you get back to whatever wonderful book it is that you’re currently reading, but if you ever want to chat, or have some ideas that you want to share with us, feel free to reach out to us on Twitter:
@BooksAfricana.
