Some of these stories are timeless. Others are set in more modern times, in the last century. Love usually wins, but Ogunlana’s characters suffer from separation, mistaken identity, ethnic conflict, self-doubt and jealousy. He tells these stories beautifully, with an ear for the nuances of Yoruba, and brings them to life for contemporary audiences, painting a captivating picture of life, love, fun and romance in an authentic Nigerian atmosphere.
